Let’s see, I left for Arizona on the 27th of December. I returned on the 4th of January 2006. I knew I was going to be gone, I also did not want to touch a computer. I also, wanted my blog to keep growing. To try to have my cake and eat it too, I bought Elicit for $60. With Elicit, you can schedule in advance what days and time you want your posts to be published. During the evenings of good cheer and smiles on my childrens faces (from opening presents and seeing family) I thought this would be a good time to start “The Sound Of the Day” post. This way I can go ahead and do all the posts I need during my absence and no one will be the wiser. That was a total of +8 hours of fun work!

WELL I BLEW IT!

I believe because I kept copying the same post, the “post slug” was duplicated so each day the one post got over written. UUUGGGHHH!

I couldn’t find anywhere in the help to beware this might happen. I going to try and get my money back Still….oh that pisses me off!

So to remedy, or at least not a total waste, I am going to post the links to the MP3’s you missed. Make sure you download the HIM tracks. I picked them as my favorite band of 2005.

The Sound Of the Day #004-#014

What I find interesting about traveling, or just being in a different city, is to listen to local radio. I am in Pheonix, AZ for New Years and have found a great indie radio station, The Edge 103.9 FM. They have an enjoyable mix of older punk and pop-rock hits from the late 70’s to today. That mix also offers support for the local bands too. I think that is what I enjoy the most about the station. They are not to obscure with there tastes, and that is also noticable by the local bands they will give air play. I guess, all I can do is suggest you listen to the station if you are within ear shot of Pheonix.

Is Bono the real deal? I seriously hope so, if he turns out to be a swendling dirt bag, ever, a piece of me will die, and humanity will suffer. I have always been able to respect the causes Bono represents, because it does not seem to be exploitation. After rocking the Qwest Center, Bono stayed an extra day in Omaha, NE to meet with the board of D.A.T.A. Debt, Aids, Trade, Africa has board members here in Omaha, like the daughter of the 2nd richest in the world, Buffet. Actually, we had the worlds wealth all in the same room, at the Joslyn Art Museum, where else- Omaha, NE. The Gates’ Family also snuck into Omaha, to shoot the cover photo for the Time Magazine Cover. [ bugmenot.com sign-in for Omaha.com ]

Despite tight security, Hess said, Bill and Melinda Gates walked through the front lobby. As Time reports this week, reporter Josh Tyrangiel sat with Bono, Bill and Melinda in Omaha for a Q-and-A. The trio were saluted not for their contributions to music or computers, but for their philanthropy, especially in the causes of poverty and global health.

Bill may be the CEO of the most hated OS, but no one can hate his charity work! I think this should be displayed more, because the public majority is unaware of his contributions.

I would search for ever, and I would pay money for it. Jessica Simpson sex tape would drive me into a bigger frenzy. Well, there is NO SEX TAPE! damn you US Weekly. $20 million is what Britney is looking for, by reading the article, I hate to admit it…I think she deserves it. Not because I think she is above it, she is probably a FREAK, but come on…Media in general, they can say what ever shit they want. If you were looking for the tape where would you go?

Google has improved it’s music search capabilities so…results here It actually returned her discography, Good job Google! Oh…I guess msn did ok too. Yahoo! too. I am not sure what I was expecting…
